My portfolio reflects a journey rooted in resilience, creativity, and community. Each piece highlights a part of my story, skillset, and future vision blending entrepreneurial ambition with a commitment to social impact.
1. ROOTS OF GLORY - My Clothing Brand

The creation of ROOTS OF GLORY represents one of my proudest achievements. Building this brand from the ground up required mastering brand strategy, creative direction, and digital marketing.
The project showcases my ability to blend entrepreneurial vision with professional-level design. It highlights the values of gratitude, hard work, spirituality, and community that shape both my personal journey and the brand’s mission
2. From Togo to the NCAA
I was born in Togo, a place where dreams often have to fight for space. Opportunities weren’t
easy to come by but faith, family, and discipline laid the foundation for everything I’ve
become. Growing up, I saw so many kids around me with talent, ambition, and heart, but no
support system. From a young age I knew that if I ever got the chance to succeed, I had to
make it count not just for myself, but for all those who didn’t get the same shot.
Having the opportunity to come to the United States changed everything. I arrived as a
student-athlete with big dreams and even bigger responsibilities on my shoulders. Balancing
school and high-level athletics wasn’t easy. There were early mornings, late nights, and
moments when the weight of expectations felt overwhelming but it was in those moments
that I learned how to dig deep, how to lead, and how to stay focused on something bigger
than wins or stats. It became about growth, discipline, and purpose. Winning the NCAA Final
Four twice is something I’ll always be proud of not just because of the trophy or the
recognition, but because it represents every hour I spent grinding in the gym, every sacrifice
my family made, and every lesson I learned from teammates, coaches, and setbacks on and
off the court. My foot injury during my sophomore year was one of the lowest points of my
journey. It was a really humbling experience and it taught me how to adapt, how to stay
mentally tough, and how to find identity outside of performance.
Throughout this journey I also discovered new passions. I fell in love with creativity with
design, storytelling, and the idea of building something meaningful and impactful. That’s
how my brand, ROOTS OF GLORY was born. I did not just see it as a clothing line. I wanted
to use it as a movement built on the belief that greatness comes from humble beginnings and
that our roots are where our true power lies. The brand is inspired by my story but it’s made
for every young person out there who feels unseen, unheard or underestimated because I
believe there are many others that are or were in the same position I once was.
As I move forward, I want to be more than just an athlete or a designer. I want to be a voice
for kids in Togo and across Africa, who just need someone to believe in them. I want to
create opportunities through my brand, using it as a platform to fund scholarships, start
mentorship programs, and tell stories that inspire. Every time I step on the court or put my
ideas on paper, I think about them, my people, my roots. This essay represents who I am at
the core: someone who refuses to waste the opportunity I’ve been given. Someone who
believes in giving back, lifting others, and using every gift for a greater purpose. From Togoto the NCAA, the journey hasn’t been easy but it’s been worth every step and it’s only just
beginning.
3. NCAA Final Four Championships & Student-Athlete Experience
Winning the NCAA Final Four twice is not just an achievement. It is a testament to my
discipline, leadership, and teamwork. Being a student-athlete has shaped my work ethic,
resilience, and ability to thrive under pressure. The skills I have gained, such as time
management, collaboration, and adaptability are qualities that translate seamlessly into the
business and creative world and are values I will keep with me for the rest of my life. I have
chosen this experience for my portfolio because it showcases my ability to perform at a high
level, stay committed to long-term goals, and lead within a team.
4. ROOTS OF GLORY — Social Impact Report
Beyond building a brand, my deeper mission through ROOTS OF GLORY is to create opportunities for others. This social impact report outlines current initiatives and long-term goals to empower youth in Togo, across Africa, and worldwide.
Current Initiatives:
-
Annual scholarships for young athletes and creatives
-
Virtual mentorship network pairing students with industry leaders
-
Community sports gear and educational supply drives
-
Creative storytelling and entrepreneurship workshops
Vision:
The future of ROOTS OF GLORY includes establishing a nonprofit foundation that scales these efforts sustainably and globally.
5. Community Empowerment Focus
Beyond my personal success, I believe true impact comes from giving back and helping
others reach their full potential. My commitment to community service, particularly in
supporting underprivileged kids in Togo where I was born and grew up, across the African
continent and around the world is a core part of my mission. My goal is to use my platform
through sports, business, and creative work to inspire, mentor, and provide resources for
young people who lack opportunities. I believe that at some point in life, we all need a little
help from someone. I wouldn’t be in the position I am today if someone didn’t try to help mebe a better person, a better human being or give me an opportunity to better my life so I really
want to help others as well in any shape or form possible to the best of my capabilities.
Each of these pieces reflects a different dimension of my abilities: entrepreneurial vision,
discipline and leadership, and social impact. Together, they tell a cohesive story of my
journey and potential. By carefully curating these works in my portfolio, I aim to get the
attention of my target audience mentors, investors, business professionals, and creative
collaborators who can help me take the next steps in my career and expand my ability to give
back. Now, with this concrete plan, I am ready to transition from thinking about my portfolio
to actively building it.
